Great Philosophy Site & Psychology Site

If you are interested in Philosophy, I found a great site for you. Yale University has posted some fascinating lectures by their distinguished professors. It is called an "Open Yale Course." Here is the link to the course PHIL 176: Death (about the philosophy of death, dualism, monism, etc.). If you listen to all of them, it is like having taken this class at Yale:

They also posted an Intro Psychology class there as an "Open Yale Course." If you become really interested in any of our topics and are thirsty to hear more about it, go here:

Also, if you will be taking the AP test, why not listen to a few college lectures over the topics that we will not get to in this class?

MIT does the same thing. Here is their online version of Intro Psychology:

Unit 9: Personality Theory

I hope you all enjoyed the guest speaker. I think my "magic water" is already working!

I have posted links to many of the handouts and worksheets from Unit 9. Look to the right under the section entitled "Unit 9: Personality Theory." They are all in MS Word. If you miss in class, you can download and print it from home.

Course Evaluation

If you look to the right, you will find an online course evaluation. Sometime before school gets out and you are gone forever, please take a minute to fill this out and submit it (it is all on the internet). Doing this will help me to improve this class for next year.

Thanks a bunch!

Unit 8 Psychometrics Stuff

We are currently in Unit 8: Psychometrics (AKA Psychological Testing). You can look at the Calendar to the right to see when the unit test will be. (Ha, ha. A test about testing, isn't that loco!)

Below the calendar there is a section just for this unit. It contains the worksheets we have done. If you missed one of them, you may print it off and turn it in late, according to the late-work policy outlined in my Disclosure Document.

Also, feel free to post any comments about this unit under thsi post. Keep it clean though, even if the stats frustrated you :o)

3-2-1 Lift-Off!

This is the launch of the new and improved Psychology course website.

This site will have a lot of important information. If you look to the right, you will see a Google Calendar. I will keep this updated with Due Dates and other important events.

Above the Google Calendar you will also find a few imporant links. You can access your grades, on SIS, through the Nebo District page. There is also a lot of important class info still on the old class website, located at the "Mr. Rockwood's Homepage" link. This old site will remain active until I have transfered all of the important stuff to this new one.

Check back often, and enjoy!
